Connect Eventbrite to ActiveCampaign[edit | edit source]
Last updated: July 28, 2025 at 11:33 PM
The ActiveCampaign Eventbrite integration allows you to create and update contacts based on event registrations and attendance. This integration also displays Eventbrite activities on contact records in ActiveCampaign.
Requirements[edit | edit source]
- An ActiveCampaign account
- An Eventbrite account
- The integration setup takes place in your ActiveCampaign account
Note: This integration does not add contacts to a list in ActiveCampaign. If you are using Eventbrite to collect opted-in contacts, you need to use the “Add to List” automation action to add them to your marketing list. Additionally, you can only map Eventbrite fields to existing contact fields in ActiveCampaign; it is not possible to map Eventbrite fields to Account or Deal fields, or for Eventbrite to create new custom contact fields in your account.
How the Eventbrite Integration Works[edit | edit source]
The Eventbrite integration uses a webhook to push data from Eventbrite to ActiveCampaign whenever an event occurs. Once the event happens:
- Contact records are either created or updated in ActiveCampaign. You determine which contact data to collect during the integration setup.
- The integration adds tags to contact profile records. The event action determines the tag that the contact receives.
- An Eventbrite object will appear on contact records for each contact synced through this integration. This object will display information about each event the contact registers for or attends.
- Three new automation triggers will be available for you to use to create automated workflows.
- You can personalize automation emails with Eventbrite data.
Eventbrite Events[edit | edit source]
Events that trigger contact and Eventbrite data to sync to ActiveCampaign include:
- Order Placed
- Order Updated
- Order Refunded
- Attendee Check-in
- Attendee Check-out
- Attendee Updated
Eventbrite Custom Object[edit | edit source]
This integration syncs an Eventbrite custom object to ActiveCampaign. This object appears on profile records for each synced contact and displays event registration and attendance data. Each event in this object will have the following fields:
- Status
- Event Name
- Event Link
- Order Link
- Date Created
Note: It is not possible to edit these fields or field values in ActiveCampaign.
Eventbrite Object Details[edit | edit source]
Each record in the Eventbrite object has a “Details” button. Clicking this button will expand the record and display additional fields and information.
Tags Added to Contacts[edit | edit source]
As contacts sync from the Eventbrite integration, the following tags will appear on their contact record:
- eventbrite-integration: All contacts who sync through this integration receive this tag.
- eventbrite-integration-event_name: Contacts will receive a tag based on the connected event in Eventbrite.
- eventbrite-integration-All_Events: Contacts will receive this tag when the "All Events" resource is configured.
Eventbrite Automation Triggers[edit | edit source]
This integration comes with three automation triggers located under the “Apps” section of the automation trigger modal:
- Eventbrite tag is added: Contacts are pulled into the automation when they receive the eventbrite-integration tag.
- Eventbrite [EVENT] is created: Contacts are pulled into the automation when a new Eventbrite record is created in the Eventbrite object. You can choose any Eventbrite event that you synced to your ActiveCampaign account with this trigger. This trigger cannot be used with any other automation trigger.
- Eventbrite [EVENT] is updated: Contacts are pulled into the automation when a specified field changes in the Eventbrite object. This trigger cannot be used with any other automation trigger.
Personalize Emails with Eventbrite Data[edit | edit source]
Once you configure the integration, you can use the Eventbrite custom object fields to personalize any email campaign sent from an automation. In the "Add a Personalization" modal, you can find these personalization options under the “Custom Objects” section. Note that you must use an Eventbrite automation trigger for the "Custom Objects" section to appear with your Eventbrite custom object fields. These fields are not available in personal emails, 1:1 emails, or campaigns sent from the Campaigns tab in your ActiveCampaign account.
