== Configuration Options and Settings ==

When using the '''AI Translations for Email''' feature, there are several configuration options and settings you need to be aware of:

- **Activities**: In order to utilize AI translations, you must purchase '''Activities''', with each translated campaign using one Activity.
- **Preferred Language Field**: This is essential for determining each contact's language. There are two scenarios:
  - For new accounts created after June 24, 2025, the '''Preferred Language''' field is automatically created.
  - For accounts purchased before this date, you need to manually create a '''Preferred Language''' custom field. 

To create this field:
1. Click '''Contacts''' > '''Fields''' in the left menu.
2. Click the '''Add Field''' button and fill out the modal window with:
   - Field Name: '''Preferred Language'''
   - Field Type: Select '''Language'''.
3. Click '''Add''' to save.

If you have an existing field that tracks preferred languages, it needs to be mapped to the newly created field. This involves:
1. Editing the '''Preferred Language''' field.
2. Checking the box for '''Automatically map values from an existing field'''.
3. Selecting the field you want to map and clicking '''Next'''.

After mapping, your contacts without a preferred language will receive the default version of the campaign.
