Editing Abandoned Cart Automation (section)

== Step-by-step instructions ==

To create an abandoned cart automation, follow these steps:

=== Create a new automation with the "Abandons Cart" trigger ===

1. Click on '''Create an automation'''.
2. In the modal window that appears, select the '''Start from Scratch''' option and click '''Continue'''.
3. You will be redirected to the automation builder page. Click on '''Add a start trigger''' action near the top of the page.
4. The '''Select a Trigger''' modal will open. Click on the '''E-commerce''' tab located on the left menu and then select the '''Abandons cart''' option.
5. Next, configure the trigger with the following options:
   * '''Integration''': Select the ecommerce store you want to use or choose '''Any'''.
   * '''Select product''': Choose from options such as '''Any product''', '''Product name contains''', or '''Product name matches'''.
   * '''Select category''': Select from options like '''Any category''', '''Category name contains''', or '''Category name matches'''.
   * '''Cart value''': Choose from options such as '''Any value''', '''Value equals''', '''Value is more than''', or '''Value is less than'''.
   * Indicate if the trigger should run '''once''' or '''multiple''' times.

6. To further limit which contacts enter this automation, check the '''Segment the contacts entering this automation''' option and use the segment builder to add conditions.

Now that your trigger is configured, you can add the next action in your automation:

1. Click the node (+) directly under the start trigger.
2. Click on the '''Sending''' tab and select the '''Send an email''' option from the '''Add an action''' modal window.
3. Choose between:
   * '''Create a new email''': Generate an email using AI, a pre-designed template, or from scratch.
   * '''Start from an existing email''': Create a new email based on a previously created campaign (direct or automated).

4. Once selected, the campaign templates page will open. Choose your preferred email designer from the drop-down menu.
5. Hover over the template you want to use and click the '''Select''' button.
6. The modal window for your email's details will appear, where you can:
   * Create/edit the message name, subject line, preheader text, and sender information.

Adjusting the wait time before contacts are pulled into your automation can be done as follows:

*For Shopify:*

1. Click '''Settings''' (the gear icon) on the lower left of your ActiveCampaign account.
2. Click '''Integrations'''.
3. Click '''Connected''' next to your integration.
4. Click '''Manage'''.
5. Choose the time duration from the dropdown and click '''Save'''.

*For Magento:* 

1. Log into your Magento account.
2. Navigate to Menu > Store > Configuration > ActiveCampaign.
3. Choose your Abandoned Cart settings.
4. Save Settings.
