=== Import Contacts into ActiveCampaign ===

1. **Navigate to Contacts**: Log in to your ActiveCampaign account and click on '''Contacts''' located in the left-hand menu.
2. **Initiate Import**: Click the '''Import''' button.
3. **Select Import from File**: Choose the '''Import from File''' option.
4. **Upload the CSV File**: A file browser will appear; navigate to and select the CSV file you exported from Infusionsoft.
5. **Mapping Fields**: As your file processes, you will be redirected to an import screen. Here, you will need to map the columns in your CSV file to the corresponding fields in your ActiveCampaign account. For each field, click the dropdown and select the matching field. If you wish to exclude any data from the import, select '''Do Not Import this Field'''.
   * If you need to create a new field, you can click '''[Add New Field]''' and follow the prompts.
6. **Select Contact Lists**: Optionally, choose all the lists you want these contacts to be added to. You can distribute contacts across multiple lists if needed.
7. **Add Tags**: Optionally, enter tags that you wish to apply to all newly imported contacts. Implementing tags can facilitate tracking and bulk actions on segments later.
8. **Import Options**: Click the '''Import Options''' dropdown menu and select '''Import As Active Contact'''.
9. **Update Existing Contacts**: Optionally, check the '''Update Existing Contacts''' box. This option allows ActiveCampaign to match email addresses already in your account and enrich those records with data from your import file.
10. **Finalize Import**: Once all settings are configured to your satisfaction, click the '''Import Now''' button to complete the process.
