=== "Opens/Reads an Email" Trigger ===
To set up an automation that triggers when a contact opens or reads your 1:1 email, follow these steps:

1. **Select Trigger**: Choose the '''Opens reads an email''' trigger from the list. You will see an option to select '''1:1 email'''.
2. **Select Email**: Click the '''Select email''' dropdown to either choose any 1:1 email or a specific one. Note that:
   - "Any" 1:1 email includes direct emails sent from the '''Contacts Overview''' page, a contact record, a deal record, and automated 1:1 emails.
   - Emails listed by name are automated 1:1 emails sent through the ''Send a 1:1 email'' automation action.
3. **Add Start**: After configuring the trigger, click the '''Add Start''' button.

*Please note*: This trigger activates only the first time the selected email is opened. If the contact opens the email again or if another recipient like a CC’d or BCC’d recipient opens it, the automation will not retrigger.

=== "Clicks a Link in an Email" Trigger ===
To trigger an automation when a contact clicks a link in your 1:1 email, do the following:

1. **Select Trigger**: Choose the '''Clicks a link in an email''' trigger. Ensure to select the '''1:1 email''' option.
2. **Select Email**: Click the '''Select email''' dropdown to specify either a selected automated 1:1 email or “Any” 1:1 email. As noted earlier:
   - "Any" includes emails sent from a deal record and automated 1:1 emails.
3. **Select Link**: Now, click the '''Select link''' dropdown to choose the link option necessary for your trigger:
   - “Any” link includes all links contained in any 1:1 email.
   - Links listed by URL relate to those in automated 1:1 emails.
4. **Add Start**: Once configured, remember to click the '''Add Start''' button.

*Important*: This trigger will also activate only the first time the selected link is clicked. Similar to the email open trigger, multiple openings or clicks do not retrigger the automation.

=== "Replies to an Email" Trigger ===
To set up an action when a contact replies to your 1:1 email:

1. **Select Trigger**: Opt for the '''Replies to an email''' trigger, then select the '''1:1 email''' option.
2. **Select Email**: Click the '''Select email''' dropdown and choose either a specific automated 1:1 email or “Any” 1:1 email as mentioned before.
