== Step-by-Step Instructions ==

Follow these detailed steps to tag contacts when they click a link in your campaign:

1. In the left menu, click **Automations**.
2. Click the **Create an automation** button.
3. Select **Start from Scratch**, then click **Continue**.
4. A modal window will appear. Select the **Clicks a link in an email** trigger and click **Continue**.
5. Choose either the **Campaign** or **1:1 email** option according to the type of email you are using.
6. Use the dropdown menus to select the specific email and link that will trigger the automation.
7. Decide whether the automation should run **once** or **multiple times** based on your campaign needs. 8. Click **Save**.
9. In the automation builder, click the node (+) to add a new action.
10. A modal window will appear; select **Contacts** from the left menu and then click **Add a tag**.
11. In the field provided, type the tag you want to assign to contacts when they reach this step in your automation, then click **Save**.
12. To activate the automation, click **Active** in the top right corner of the screen. Ensure the automation is turned on so that the tagging will occur as configured.
