== Step-by-step instructions == === Publish forms using the Gutenberg Block Editor === With the Gutenberg Block Editor, any form you create in ActiveCampaign is automatically available for you to publish on your WordPress site. Follow these steps to publish a form: # Log into your WordPress account and navigate to the post or page where you want to publish an ActiveCampaign form. # Click the name of the post or page to open the editor. # Click the '''Add Block''' button. # Locate the '''AC Forms''' embed block. You may need to scroll down the blocks menu to see this option. # Click the '''AC Forms''' block to add it to your page layout. # Use the dropdowns provided to select the form you wish to publish and if you want to use ActiveCampaign CSS. Once the form is selected, it will appear in your page layout. Please note that if you are publishing a modal, floating bar, or floating box form, the form may not be visible in the page layout. In this case, save your changes first, then preview the page to view the form. === Editing your form - Gutenberg Block Editor === To make edits to your published form: # Log back into your ActiveCampaign account and navigate to the '''Forms''' section (Website > Forms). # Click the form you wish to edit. # Make the desired edits, then click the '''Integrate''' button. # Click the '''Save & Close''' button. # Go back to WordPress and navigate to '''Settings > ActiveCampaign'''. # Click the '''Update Settings''' button. === Publish forms using the Classic Editor === If you're using the Classic Editor in WordPress, the process involves caching the forms locally first. Here’s how to do this: ==== Step 1: Select your forms ==== # In WordPress, navigate to '''Settings > ActiveCampaign'''. Locate the '''Subscription Forms''' section. # Click the checkbox for each form you wish to be able to use on your WordPress site. You can choose one, some, or all forms. # The '''Use ActiveCampaign's form CSS''' option is selected by default. If you wish to utilize this option, leave it checked; otherwise, uncheck it. # Click the '''Update Settings''' button. ==== Step 2: Insert your forms into pages or posts ==== # Locate the WordPress page or post to which you want to add the form. # When the page opens, you will see the '''ActiveCampaign''' button in the toolbar. # Place your cursor where you want the form to appear and click the ActiveCampaign logo. # A modal window will appear, listing the forms you have created. Click the name of the form you’d like to insert. A shortcode will be generated. When the post is previewed or published, the shortcode will be replaced with your ActiveCampaign form. === Embed your form(s) with a shortcode - Classic Editor === You can also embed forms into your pages and posts using shortcodes. Each form listed on the ActiveCampaign WordPress plugin settings page has its own shortcode. Copy this shortcode and paste it into your WordPress page where you want the form to appear. === Editing your form - Classic Editor === To edit your published forms: # Log back into your ActiveCampaign account and go to the '''Forms''' section (Website > Forms). # Click the form you wish to edit. # Make the desired edits, then click the '''Integrate''' button. # Click the '''Save & Close''' button. # Return to WordPress and navigate to '''Settings > ActiveCampaign'''. # Click the '''Update Settings''' button to save your changes.
