== Step-by-step instructions ==
To specify which custom contact fields will appear in your notifications, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Navigate to '''Contacts''' and select '''Lists''' from the left menu.
2. Click on '''Fields''' under the '''Manage''' section.
3. On the '''Manage Fields''' page, be sure that you are on the '''Contacts''' tab.
4. Locate the custom contact field you wish to update.
5. Hover your mouse over the desired field, then click the '''pencil icon''' that appears on the right side of the screen.
6. A modal will open. To access the advanced options, click on the '''Show Advanced''' option located at the bottom of the modal.
7. In the advanced options, click the checkboxes to select or unselect the list assignments for your field as necessary.
8. Once completed, be sure to click the '''Save''' button to apply your changes.

Once you have assigned a custom contact field to specific lists, it will only appear in the email notifications for contacts associated with those lists. Moreover, it will be visible on the contact records of those who are part of the selected lists.
