Editing Control which contacts enter an automation (section)

== Step-by-step Instructions ==

1. **Navigate to your Automations**: Log into your ActiveCampaign account and go to the **Automations** section from the dashboard.

2. **Select an Automation**: Choose the automation in which you want to control the entry of contacts. 

3. **Add a Trigger**: If you do not have an existing trigger, click on the **Add Trigger** button. If a trigger is already present, click on that specific trigger to open its settings.

4. **Create a Segment**: 
   - Look for the option labeled **Segment**. You will find a checkbox or an option to create a segment.
   - When you click on this, the '''segment builder''' will appear, allowing you to specify the criteria that contacts must match to enter the automation.
   
5. **Define Your Conditions**: Inside the segment builder, you can set various conditions based on contact attributes, previous behaviors, or other criteria. Only those contacts who meet these defined conditions will be included in your automation.

6. **Save Your Changes**: After creating your segment, ensure you **Save** the trigger settings. 

7. **Activate Your Automation**: Once you have configured the desired segments, activate or publish your automation to start the process.
